The Design Office of Civil Engineering TRAKT with registered offices in Katowice has been operating, in various organizational and legal forms, since 1987. From 1987 to 1989, it was personal activities by dr. inż. Grzegorz Nowaczyk. Between 1989 and 1991 the operation was registered as co-called "freelance profession" performed by the owner. In September 1991, due to a change in regulations concerning the registration of private business entities, the company was entered in the Register of Enterprises in the Municipality in Siemianowice Śląskie. From 1991 to 1998 the company was operating under the mane "Zakład Usług Projektowych i Nadzoru Budowlanego" (Design Services and Construction Supervision Office). In September 1998 the business registration was changed, specifying the business name as Biuro Projektów Budownictwa Komunikacyjnego TRAKT (The Design Office of Civil Engineering TRAKT). In the same year the name and the logo were registered in the Patent Office. In January 2005, the Office moved its registered offices from Siemianowice Śląskie to Katowice, and consequently the registration body was changed into the Municipality in Katowice.

In order to improve the services it provides, the Office implemented quality management system according to international EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Throughout the period of our operations the Office completed over 550 projects and over 100 supervision tasks. We are proud that in our history we have designed a number of significant road investments throughout Poland.  Recently, as a partner to GDDKiA (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways), we completed various stages of projects for:

  • A1 Motorway, section from Toruń (Czerniewice) - kujawsko-pomorskie/łódzkie province border (approx. 80 km),
  • A1 Motorway, section from Bełk - Świerklany (approx. 15 km),
  • S1 Express Road, Pyrzowice - Podwarpie and Kosztowy - Tychy,
  • S3 Express Road, Gorzów - Międzyrzecz,
  • S7 Express Road, Salomea - Wolica,
  • S8 Express Road,Rawa Mazowiecka – province border,
  • S12 Express Road, Lublin – Piaski,
  • S86 Express Road, Katowice - Sosnowiec,
  • S69 Express Road:

- tunnel section in Laliki,
- Bielsko Biała – Żywiec section,
- Przybędza – Milówka section.
